Just Thinkin'

Sitting here in the mechanics waiting area, drinking coffee and reading Facebook and checking emails.

Woke up this morning without a headache ~ thank you Lord!  First day since Tuesday the head has not been pounding.  Still have the cold and cough but oh so very thankful the headache is gone.  Had decided if was still feeling super crummy this morning to see if there was a walk-in clinic or doctor I could see here in North Bend.

The mechanic is working on a relay switch from the gas tank/fuel pump/fuel tank (can you tell I am not exactly sure).  Not sure how long this will take or if we will be here through the weekend.  Told Ron this morning that if we are here for the weekend we need to find a church to attend on Sunday.  Need to stay in fellowship with other believers wherever we are.

Have gotten a couple of phone calls from friends ~ thank you so much for being such an encouragement to me.  Also getting comments and emails and facebook posts remind me of how much we are loved.

This  morning's scripture was from Ephesians 6:10-18 - be strong in our faith in the Lord; put on his armor.  It is He who gives us the strength to face each day, each trial or circumstance we find ourselves in.  Also James 1:18 - I am chosen by God.  I am his daughter!

I am also reminded that we are to have joy in every circumstance we find ourselves in - so my joy today in the Lord is that he knows what is going on, he has surrounded me with many friends who love and care about us and show us this in many ways.  And I am thankful for his blessings ~ we have a safe warm place to be right now.  And for that I am thankful for that.

  1. So glad to hear you have some relief from your headache. If you are running any kind of fever you might want to consider stopping by a medical care facility. Otherwise drink lots of fluids.

I did not realize you are actually in WA. Lost track of you I guess...thought you were more northeast than that. No matter...there is a reason I'm sure that you are where you are. Like you say....

  3. Finding joy in every situation? Now I had not thought of that until I just read where you wrote that. Maybe you think everyone knows that already, but I am here to tell you, and find great joy in doing so, that I did not know that! So thank you Alice! I will try to start looking at things that way. How can I find JOY in this situation! It is like finding the Lord! He is truly in the midst of the tribulation that we find ourselves in at times. Places we cannot seem to figure out how we got here and how to get out. Maybe that is not the goal after all. The goal instead is to BE right where we are, and to find Joy! This is a very new way of looking at life. It changes everything.
