Beautiful Moon on a Nice Warm Spring Evening

After an evening out seeing the Presley's, click here for that blog post,
and arriving back at our campsite,
I glanced up and saw the beautiful moon.

This one is one of my favorites...I love all the colors that showed up and the lower bottom left corner shows Branson down the hill.
We thought it was interesting to see how the pictures turned out with different settings.
Now to just figure out what setting will really give us a clear shot of the moon.

First Snow of the Spring 2013

I don't know what it is about us and snow.

We raced across four states to beat a blizzard while trying to get to our son, Jamie's wedding celebration.

Upon our return to Branson on 3/20/13 we were advised of a winter storm that was due to hit on 3/21/13.  Doesn't Mother Nature realize that the first day of Spring was 3/21/13.  Guess it didn't really matter as this is what we woke up to the morning of March 22, 2013 and so I thought I would share with you our first snowfall of Spring 2013.

The view from the back of our campsite.

Icicles frozen on our screens and windows.

Ron checking out the Jeep - so thankful for the hard top!!!

3' or more on the picnic table.  Our beverage tote is definitely keeping those beverages of many flavors cold.

Ice and snow on the Jeep.

Looking from our site to Highway 265!

It looks like the road is clear but really it is a sheet of ice :)

Icy roadway.

Ron looking up the inner road - you can barely see the rigs among the trees.

Sites 6 & 7 from across the office.

Looking from the office towards our site.  You can't even see the cabin.

Thinking we will wait for the sun to come out before we take a spell of rocking on the front porch.

Yes it is pretty!! But it sure was cold!!!

Have you ever had one of those days?

I have been contemplating a couple of blog posts I wanted to do.

No problem you say.

But I have two blogs and so I wrote

this one at Alice's Restaurant earlier today.  I had a title in mind and the body in my thoughts.
I put the title in, walked away from the computer and began thinking of my blog post for
The Wandering Workentins
and so started writing it.

Got all done, published it and then realized I had written The Wandering Workentins post on Alice's Restaurant ~ duh, go figure.

So if you want to see what was intended for The Wandering Workentins just click on the link
(underlined up above)

and stay tuned for another blog post about life here at the campground!

Just Ponderin'

I have been thinking about how wonderfully blessed I am.

Even though we weren't able to be at Christopher's 5th Birthday celebration through Facebook we have seen many pictures of that day and a very happy boy.
Christopher anticipating the great ice cream cake his Aunt Darcy made him alongside cousin Colton all the while dreaming of opening those gifts!
Gathering a big gulp of air to blow out that candle!!
Admiring one of many presents!!!

Time for the Basketball (what else could it be?) pinata.
Mom, Danalyn, giving some pointers
Dang it!  I missed.

Trying again!
Cousins Colton and Jaden along with big brother Max as Christopher continues trying to break it open.

Getting a better aim without the blindfold

And another big swing

Yeah - time for the spoils!!!

And a few of the brothers.

Happy Boy Alexander!!!

Don't know why Treyson missed out on the pictures, but this Grammy found one from our recent trip to Oregon.
Big Brother Max taking aim!!!

Seeing The Presley's

We were blessed with free tickets to go and see The Presley's.

Before the actual show there is a pre-show that included singing many old hymns.  What a blessing to hear so many people from many walks of life sharing of God's love.  They closed with Amazing Grace which is one of our favorite hymns.

And spending each and every day with my sweet and loving husband!!!
Fighting the snow to get to work.

Our family Ron, Jamie, age 35, Alice, Brandon, age 33

I am thankful for a husband who loves me and has walked this journey of life as we have climbed many mountains and stumbled through the valley's.

I am thankful for two wonderful son's who are the best sons, husbands, daddy's, and young men.

Most of all I am thankful for Our Lord Jesus Christ who died on the cross and took all my sins away.

Thank you Jesus for making me a daughter of the king!!!
